Common Questions
Yes — a large part of my work is inherited systems. Magento stores needing upgrades and patches, Laravel apps with no documentation, WordPress plugins full of deprecated functions. I start by auditing what is actually there, then propose the smallest safe path forward rather than a rewrite.
I am based in Karachi, Pakistan (PKT, UTC+5) and have delivered for clients in the UK, Canada, the UAE, and the US. I handle client communication directly — no account manager in between — and work inside whatever you already use: Jira, Basecamp, ClickUp, or Slack.
Yes. A good portion of my delivery has been through an agency model, working as the technical resource behind someone else's client relationship. I am comfortable staying invisible to the end client if that is how you need it to work.
You do. Everything is delivered in your repository, with API documentation in Postman or Swagger and the deployment process written down so your team — or your next developer — can run it without me.
It depends on the engagement. Fixed-scope projects get a fixed quote after we agree on requirements; evolving work is hourly with transparent time logs; ongoing support runs as a monthly retainer. I would rather scope honestly up front than discover the real cost halfway through.
Handover is not the end. I offer maintenance plans covering security patching, dependency and framework updates, uptime monitoring, and incremental feature work — or a one-off warranty window if you prefer to take it in-house.
